MATILDA THE MUSICAL – Winner of London’s Olivier Awards including Best Musical, Matilda is a total charmer, the Wormwoods are the villains you love to hate, and Miss Trunchbull is so much fun to watch you can’t help but wonder what awful abuse she will inflict on the kids next. What’s so interesting about this show is that it incorporates elements of current hit Broadway shows, combining to make it utterly fun. There are bits of Once, Mary Poppins, One Man Two Guvnors, and Peter & the Starcatcher all woven together into an imaginative and interactive evening of storytelling and music that is right on the current trend. It is whimsical and overtly funny enough for children, but also clever and heartfelt enough that adults will love it as well. This show has been a powerhouse in London, having won 7 Olivier Awards and is shining here as well!
